One of the things that strikes me about Western Digital is how much the organization cares about the happiness of its employees. It’s not just about getting things done, but making sure that we help people go in the direction that they want. I started my career at Western Digital as an intern in Failure Analysis. From the beginning, my managers were supportive of my interests and took steps to introduce me to other teams. Even though I had a background in Electrical Engineering, I got the chance to explore and learn that Firmware was what I wanted to do. I’m now a Senior Firmware Engineer! What I enjoy most about my role is knowing that I develop features that directly affect customers. I feel like I make an impact and I am constantly learning. There is a never-ending list of things to learn at Western Digital, so I promise that you will always feel challenged and involved here!

I lead a highly talented Firmware engineering team at Western Digital; we are currently collaborating with teams across the company to develop Western Digital's first ever NVME Enterprise SSD that is based on our own controller. I have worked at Western Digital and its acquisitions since 2011. My journey has been very rewarding and enriching both technically and personally. What I find most gratifying is that, at Western Digital, we own our flash, controller, architecture, and firmware. Having this ownership offers us a unique opportunity to get exposure to the entire system end-to-end which provides me with exciting challenges and growth opportunities to continuously learn and innovate. I work at the inviting Irvine campus which offers great amenities such as an onsite health clinic, a Market cafe and even a Toastmasters club. I enjoy connecting with colleagues at the various social events sponsored by Western Digital such as the monthly employee appreciation lunch, or monthly birthday cake celebrations. Western Digital is not only establishing itself as a leader in the Storage industry but it is also a great place to work.
